To showcase this fusion of football, music and politics, Bido Lito! have selected a winning team sheet of live and DJ performances from artists hand-picked from participating World Cup nations.

Leading the bill, DJ Andy Votel, head-honcho at Finders Keepers Records, will play a set influenced by the international conversations that football inspires. His mixes dance between hip hop, movie soundtracks and ambient soundscapes, so expect to hear something far beyond the borders of your regular scheduled programme...For this set, he dives into Brazil's rich musical history for a serious session of 'Subtropical Psychout' tunes.

DJ sets will also drop from Africa Oyé's energetic resident DJs, Marley & Vegas, and Anti Social Jazz Club's all-vinyl spinner, LJ Fleming.

Wayne Snow

Now, it wouldn't be a Bido Lito! event without live music. A real cause for excitement, the event will see Nigerian-born, Berlin-based singer Wayne Snow make his long-anticipated Liverpool debut. His collaborations with house and hip hop artists the likes of Max Graef and Byron the Aquarius make his music potently dancefloor-ready and infectiously groovy. Recent releases with Neue Grafik on underground London labels, 22a Music and Rhythm Section have seen Wayne Snow grow massively in popularity with UK-based audiences.

Oko Embombo

Also performing - poet, singer, film maker and photographer - Oko Embombo makes his Liverpool debut. No one trick pony, Parisian Ebombo has been quoted by music magazine Sodwee as having; "a truly exquisite sound with a real deep artistic vibe, an approach to aesthetics you rarely see these days in the music industry." His music takes influence from his experiences growing up in the hardening suburbs of Paris, fusing this narrative with a spectrum of different global sounds alongside his band, '19'.

Hailing from Cairo, Egypt, Rozzma is a self-described 'Prehistoric African Bass' artist. Having performed alongside the likes of Acid Arab whilst also featuring on their acclaimed record label, Rozzma is no stranger to the dancefloor. His energetic blend of gabber, bassline and electro, all with an Arabic spin, make for a unique and uplifting listen.

Now performing under his new moniker, Gomnam, the Iranian-born MC is known around Liverpool for his fast-paced and intense lyrical style. Having performed and released under the name Farhood in recent years, his music takes its own style - combining elements of his Persian heritage by rapping in Farsi, and elements of his new home in the UK by working alongside a trove Liverpool-based producers.

Join Bido Lito! and The Art of Football on Saturday 30th June, 13:00 until late to catch a kaleidoscope of sounds from across the world...all in the name of football!
